It’s been another fantastic week at Meadows Nursery!
We have been reading the classic story ‘Going on a Bear Hunt‘ using props and items to make different noises to go with the story. The children loved listening carefully to the sounds and making them using the different materials. They then enjoyed opportunities for imaginative play using bear masks to re-tell the story in their own way.
Another highlight from the week has been learning about the Bee-Bots. The children loved learning about them and using the buttons to tell the Bee-Bots how to move. The children worked together to listen and share, and they enjoyed making them move around the carpet. What excellent early coding exploration!
We have also continued to enjoy a variety of creative opportunities this week. We have continued to explore the clay to make models, and we have also been creating a selection of stick people, using natural resources and art supplies to imagine a little stick family.
We have also started rehearsing our Christmas songs this week so please encourage your child sing along as much as they can at home too.  We would also be very grateful for any donations of wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, old Christmas cards, tinsel, tree decorations and egg boxes. This would be really appreciated. The children will be using them to decorate the classroom and make Christmas tree decorations over the remaining weeks of term.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
