Hi Parents and Carers,
Welcome to our round up of the first half of the Spring term in Year 1.
In English this week, we have completed the editing of our instruction booklets. These are now proudly displayed on our writing showcase ready to be celebrated!
Next half term we will be learning about different types of texts and verbs.
In Maths we have continued to recall our learning about ‘finding and making numbers to 20’ and doubles and near doubles.’ We have also completed our end of unit assessments.
In STEM we recalled and shared all the knowledge we have learnt about materials and their properties. This was then applied to our end of unit assessment.
Other notices:
Children have today received some home learning about common exception words, please help to work through this with your child. Please continue to read together regularly at home.
Reminder, school opens on Monday 24th February.
