English
In English this week, the children have been reading Traction Man. They have used their imagination goggle to label images of the story. Your child can create their own hero, draw them rescuing someone and label it here Traction-Man-labeling-13.9.24
Maths
In Maths this week, we have started our unit on place value. The children have been counting objects and representing them using counters and tens frames. Here is a counting game you can play with your child at home Counting-games-13.9.24
Next Week
In Phonics next week, we will be focusing on the ‘ai’ sound spelt /ay/ (play) and /ea/ (steak).
In English next week, we will continue to focus on Traction Man. The children will label their own scene and work in small groups with their teacher to write captions.
In Maths next week, we will continue to focus on place value. The children will be learning counting on from any number and more than one.
Other Information
Please send your child into school with a healthy snack everyday – prepared fruit/vegetables and water only, both need to be clearly named.
Please ensure your child has a PE kit (in a drawstring bag) with appropriate clothing for both indoor and outdoor activities, again in a clearly named bag and kit.
Thank you to those who have already provided welly boots, these are needed for gardening and forest school. Once again please label clearly.
