Ms Charlotte Bray – I am currently the Pumpkins Class teacher at The University of Cambridge Primary School, a role I have held for five years. As a Senior Leader, I oversee the Early Years Foundation Stage across both Nursery and Reception, and I also serve as a Designated Safeguarding Lead. Additionally, I lead the Health and Wellness Curriculum Team, bringing together my passion for child development and wellbeing. My journey into teaching began with various EYFS settings, including nurseries and pre-schools, where I worked with children aged 9 months to 4 years. This experience deepened my love for early years education and shaped my teaching philosophy. I later taught in KS1 and Reception at a primary school in Leeds before joining UCPS, where I expanded into phase leadership four years ago.
Community and family involvement are at the heart of my approach to education. I have worked closely with FOCUS for several years, helping to develop our school community and supporting fundraising initiatives that bring families together. I believe that strong partnerships between school and home create the foundation for children’s success and happiness.
Outside of school, I enjoy singing in a choir and exploring my creative side through crafting. I’m also passionate about travel, particularly seeking out new and exciting foods from different cultures. These interests not only enrich my personal life but also inspire the diverse and engaging learning experiences I bring to my classroom.
