Ms Amelia Hawkes – I’m a class teacher at University of Cambridge Primary School. Before joining UCPS in 2024, I taught in West London for six years. It had always been a dream to work at a school like UCPS, and it has truly lived up to everything I hoped for.
Before teaching, I lived in Toronto, Canada, where I completed my undergraduate and Master’s degrees. I’m half Canadian and often visit family there — especially during the winter holidays, when the snow is beautifully magical.
It’s a joy to be back in Cambridge, where I was born at the Rosie Hospital. Outside of teaching, I love horse riding, running, and being out in nature. Cambridge is my home through and through.
